In Frame: Music, Verse, and Abstract Finds

This last week was quite busy. Starting out, I photographed an eight-band lineup, many of which I had seen and photographed previously at Deviant Libation. The lineup included a number of local bands, as well as one from the Huntsville, Alabama area.

A few things of note: Corpse Corrosion opened and played their final show this night. Then, The Librarians took to the stage, keeping the energy level high. Ghost Tape, the band from Huntsville, followed up with a killer set. After that, Collapsor performed, followed by Veneficus. As we neared the end of the night, Slowrot played their epic doom metal, followed by Dead Reef's high-energy sound. Closing out the night was Sidewinder, a band that beautifully reminded me of 80s hair metal. All in all, it was a great night of music and photography.

As the week progressed, Deviant Libation held their end-of-the-month “Sinday” Sunday Service, showcasing two great local artists during the event. Moving into mid-week, open mic night brought a growing number of new local artists to the stage. I even stepped up myself to deliver two poetic pieces to the audience. To close out the week, I created a brand-new abstract piece using some interesting driftwood I found.
