Complementary & Monochrome

A bit of a reprieve early in the week gave me time to begin a new composition for July’s Photography Club meeting at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. The challenge theme is complementary colors. Once that project reached a comfortable stopping point, I shifted my focus to Open Mic Night. I decided to shoot the event in monochrome, leaning into the drama of high contrast to focus entirely on the light and shadows capturing the performers.

By the end of the week, I revisited that initial complementary color piece to put the finishing touches on it, getting it done well ahead of the deadline.
