The Shift: Moving from Observation to Creation
In the near future, I will be expanding into still life photography. Still life requires me, as a photographer, to shift my perception from the observer to the creator. As the creator, I will be constructing the scene for the subject, controlling the light, and even compositing the images to produce a final piece.
These changes might appear to be a major departure from the foundation of the observer. Rest assured, they are not. It is merely a natural evolution that will further my mastery of photography as I continue to paint with light. This shift also means some of my creations will be produced in a studio environment. This is a necessary move to properly control the light within the scene.
